Self-Guided Ebike Rentals

If you have ridden an Ebike before or consider yourself to be a confident bike rider we offer self-guided rental options for those who would rather escape by themselves and go at their own pace. We provide you with a latest model Scott or Trek performance Ebike, a riding specific backpack with easy access phone holder, high visibility vest, gloves and a safety tool kit. We also have shotgun, front and back mounted child seats available on request. We have XS, S, M and L sized bikes. We also have kids Ebike that would suit 7 years upwards. Feel the wind in your hair as you pedal your troubles away! The scenery is mind-blowing and the exercise and fresh air will leave adventurers invigorated!

The Best Possible Way To Explore Akaroa!

A self guided options gives you freedom and the opportunity to ride through and above Akaroa village with amazing views over the neon blue harbour on offer! Choose between half or full day to explore and get some great fresh air and exercise at the same time! We have longer routes with more elevation and mind blowing views, or easier loops with less climbing but still great scenery!

You can request your preferred collection time upon booking this activity which is subject to availability each day so please give us as much notice as possible. The collection point is conveniently located in central Akaroa at our office out front of  The Common Cafe, main street of Akaroa.

Please note self guided options would only suit those who have experienced riding an E-bike before as a full induction and support is only provided during guided tours. You will collect and return your bikes to the same point on both routes.

If you are arriving via cruise ship into Lyttleton you can join us! Please note the only way you can make a booking for an activity including return transport from Lyttleton Port is through this link-https://www.leisuretours.co.nz/day_tour/akaroa-bike-tour/

If you are arriving into Akaroa Port via cruise ship you can walk to our office easily from the Port. It only takes 5-10 mins.
